3y 9m #17 Patrick (from Space)

sry, but for me, the "midnight chill sessions" on the main floor (followed by the break until the morning :') ) are a absolute no-go and a reason to not visit this festival again,
hours of no music on a festival like this just kill my vibe

I really enjoyed the gathering with all these nice people. :-)
There were more people from many more countries than last year. (Or mabye it was my misinterpretation?)

The PA on mainfloor was nice but there were not enough volume
[around 01:00 a.m. to around 09:00 a.m.? ].
It was great to discover on mainfloor that surprise act CHICAGO was there to play a set but even a moment later after he began to play the volume was turned down rapidly.
You should not has given that good man such a bad time to play!
You has known the facts concerning volume regulations before ... I was ashamed in your place - to see and hear people bringing their disappointment about this happening on the floor. Even close to the speakers you were able to hear clear conversations from the people on the dancefloor - very few were dancing ... :-(

The security was way better this year than the last.

Especially both decorated named forests were very nice - with it's cosy hammocks to take a nap.
All the decoration in general was really really good :D

I liked the newspaper you provided at the entrance.

Even I has read the announcement before, I was surprised about all the people cleaning the place.
But you should definitely consider to establish some trash collection points throughout the whole area.
It was kind of bad to have for e.g. hillocks of full trash bags in the middle of the camping area - for days.

The weather in the beginning and in the end was (kind of) bad. (codeword: storm (on Thursday evening))
But at least there where Friday to Sunday mostly good weather with the sun to see.
Maybe plan the festival - for e.g. two weeks - earlier next year.
But then you should make all clear that the water do not stop (happened once - I was aware of - luckily I was in shower about a hour before ...)

You should really work on the toilet situation! Most of them were not useable ...

The map was nice to look at but nearly useless due to not detailed enough / a straight map would do the job better - like the one I saw in the window of a security car.

Please do not get me wrong in saying so much that some people would call negative points but instead see it as a constructive criticism - to get better.

I really like this festival!
Thank you very much :-)

See you next year!

...thanks for the Psy-Fi 2015....the location: amazing, the decorations: yesssss, the music: okay, the chillout: very comfortable, the sacred island: inspiring, the performances: great, the alternative stage: yeah, the art gallery: awesome, the problems: will probably be solved next year - but the best @ this festival was YOU! ....kind and friendly people all over the place....thank you dear folks, for all your smile, your hugs, your blinks, your questions, your answers, the helping, the talking - or just for your being there!

...and this laserdrone was my special gift for you, dear folks....and it seems you like it...... ;)

This location is unbeatable wonderful! The lineup was absolutely amazing, I really danced a lot. Many beautiful crazy people - I loved that!

Unfortunately, there are not only good things to report. As said by many the toilet-situation was simply unacceptable. Some of the toi's were not emptied for days and there were far too few toilets (!!!)

Parking attendant could perhaps prevent the intake chaos Thursday and Friday. I heard from people who have been queuing for more than 6 hours.

The fact that the after-show party was canceld due to bad weather was ridiculous, because there was no bad weather on tuesday anymore! So why was it canceld?

All in all, I still had a lot of fun. Lots of love to my camp-Crew and lots of greetings to all the goabase-people I met.

i will try to make it short (;

Line-up (psytrance/proggi, psycore and chillout): to fucking good ! the best line-up i have ever seen !

location: very great ! but somethimes a little bit wet (;

dekoration: very good (but i think ozora and boom are a little bit better (; )

security: very "cool"... they are very relaxe, say "hello" and dont make stress......

other guests: very "cool" and nice...

market area: big enough...a little expensive, but ok......

food: much good foot and much vegetarian and vegan food, but i think it was a little bit expensive....simular to boom ......but more expensive like the ozora( ungarian kitchen (; )

trash: some persons collecting the trash and i think it was very clean for so much persons !!!!!!!

the big bad side was the toilet and water problem......
not enough water-point......
not enough soap......
not enough toilets !!!!!!!!!!!
we need to walk a while from tent to toilet....
on the mainfloor and chillout and on the marketarea are not enough toilets......
the toilets were often full of shit !!!! ..
some persons shit between cars and tents !!! (go home you unsozial bastard !)
and everybody pee in the wood, so that it smells like urine (and that on psychedelika !!! baaaa !) and everywhere are parts of toilettpaper.........
children and animals play there and much persons walk barefoot !!!!!!!
i think much persons on a festival like this, are taking chemikal drugs and its not very "ecosensitive ore spirituall " to pollute the nature and the groundwater with this chemikal-urine !!!!!!.......

i think on the next year the organizer should rent much more waterpoint (with soap!) much more toilets (maybe komposttoilets) and for the mans a big urinal, near the dancefloors.....
and maybe the security should control, that nobody pee and shit in the woods....
when 10-15 persons pee in the wood, i think its not a big problem, but when 10000-15000 do that, i think its a big problem !!!!!

and the "dark-floor" was a little bit smal... but "cool"......

on balance, i think it was a very good festival.......much better than indian spirit......but not so good like boom and ozora (;

First and foremost: an absolutely awesome experience, magical beyond words. Lots of kudos to the organizers.

Of course, not everything is perfect. You can focus on the failings or on the experience offered to you: but recognize that this is a choice. I'm all for critical feedback but if you let it spoil your party, I don't know what you were doing there in the first place. Having said this, I agree that toilets are the one thing you want to get right, and whilst it may be that some couldn't be serviced because of roads being blocked, the reality is that there were way too few in the first place: considerably fewer than last year despite increased visitor numbers. So it was a screw up by the organizers, who might also have anticipated some of the problems servicing them. I think we'd all appreciate if they come clean about it, as mutual trust is important. Anyway, my comments are only aimed at making it even better next year.

This was a much purer psytribe gathering than last year when there were many rogue elements who came more out of curiosity/boredom and tended to spoil the atmosphere. Probably this was the biggest improvement. However you did it, keep it up!

Main stage line-up epic, sound much better than last year (except the opening night which was a mess and the fact that it was too quiet at night). The "surprise act" thing was a silly gimmick, let's just know who we are getting so we can plan it right. Special call out to Atmos who played the best set of the festival, and Suduaya on Friday night – actually not so bad to have chill music on the main stage provided you can plan accordingly. Next year please book Simon Posford as well ! The sequencing and timing of DJs was not bad but there were some weird things too.

Chill-out also a fantastic line-up, but every time I was there I found the sound so bad I could not even listen, even to artists I love. I wasn't there that much though so maybe I was unlucky? I am no sound engineer but I think the two big speakers on either side were seriously interfering with each other at certain frequencies. If that's BS, call me out on it ;)

I can't comment on the forest stage as I didn't go there, except to say that the thing with hay really worked to reduce the sound because even right outside it I could hardly hear anything, whereas inside it was indeed loud ;) To the point that for a while I didn't even realize that that construction was a stage at all ;) It could be used for "real" psytrance after the main stage has closed ;)

Communication: standard for the scene in my experience, but hopeless. For such a tech-savvy organization, surely to goodness you could place a big screen somewhere with official announcements? The map was also useless, and there needed to be a system to guide people to available camping places (of which there were enough, they were only difficult to find). Even though we arrived quite early, we would have been in difficulty if I didn't know the site from the year before. It could be solved in a crowdsourced way if you had sitewide wifi and an app (even the wifi is not that necessary with the reductions in EU roaming costs). So could many other problems, it doesn't all have to fall on the organizers but posting on Facebook is not the solution.

Great effort on trash compared to last year, but still a load of mess left in the campsite. But this is a criticism of fellow partygoers as I am sure the organizers are busy spending days cleaning it all up. Still, we are orders of magnitude better than most commercial festivals, let's remember that and not shoot ourselves in the foot with excessive public self-criticism.

Deco, layout etc: fab. Also lots of shelter in case of rain which was cool. There could have been more hay in places and at times to limit the muddiness especially after the storm the last day. Great lighting, the drone was amazing :)

The lectures were pretty interesting but think of scheduling them away from the key musical moments, even before/after the main stage opens and closes as combining things was challenging and there were lots of things I would have liked to get to but couldn't.

The restriction on music in the campsite was not enforced at all. There were lots of people with great music so I actually liked it most of the time and don't think there should be a full ban, but I think a blackout period or some other reasonable restrictions during the night could be considered. There should be a helpline to report violations of this policy and other problems like people blocking roads with cars, but for sure, try talking first, not just moaning afterwards. On this subject, you could also ask people to display a working mobile phone number behind their windscreens or other identification information so they can be contacted if a car is blocking the road. But by all means tow people at their own expense if that's what it takes to be able to clean the toilets.

Provide ecological shower gel and soap on registration rather than hoping people will buy it from the store – I am guessing very few people did.

The new program format as a newspaper was good, but why not hand it out on registration? Also, lots of people used the GIFs on their phone, but these were low resolution. Think of providing the program as an iCal feed as well.

Food choice was great, and some places were a bit expensive but by no means all so it was fine.

Security was very low key most of the time which was really good. However, after the storm they were telling everyone to leave and that the party was over (weird ego trip?). Someone from the Drug Scouts told me if we didn't do that they would "get brutal", which is not exactly the spirit, especially since we were only trying to find out what was going on. Moreover if the Drug Scouts were supposed to be a psycare outfit, what they had to do with security is beyond me. They were mostly pretty sweet people but looked like some kind of paramilitary outfit so maybe this is not exactly the right image for the purpose of helping people in difficulties.

The water supply to the showers was sometimes interrupted. There needed to be more places to wash hands and get drinking water (even if it sounds like some people just didn't find the ones that there were, which can be solved by asking someone…). €2 for a small bottle of water was expensive but at least it probably kept trash down.

An ATM on site is needed (probably more than one I guess), or a cashfree payment system needs to be implemented like at Sun last year. Also, the bus company could sell the tickets on site but this is a detail. Give better information on transport options to those who miss the shuttle.

I do realize some of these measures might entail extra costs but I think they are worth it and could be passed on in the ticket price which remains very reasonable by comparison with other festivals.

And once again: this was an amazing festival and I am sure will be even better next year!

im so thankful for the festival! every person i met was friendly, relaxed and beautiful =) the music was really great! i really enjoyed it! also the decoration was beautiful and i had the chance to get into a new world ^^ strangely i met only one unfriendly security guy at the end of the festival.everyone else were nice, although they often couldn't help me....
was my first psy-fi and i want to come next year again!

but for the next time: more toiletts (luckily i found everytime a good toilett - thanks to the users and cleaners), more showers and more water points. =)

p.s. the rules for the sound at night were discussed at the "meetingpoint" on goabase. i was not surprised.
and i really hope the next time people can speak together if they have problemes with the behavior at the camping area :(

3y 9m #8 onestone

I agree with Praetorianer - lineup, location, deco and fantastic projections especially the main stage lasers and sound system. I would add very smiley and friendly trancers. We also had three beautiful days of sunshine.

The negatives - ORGANISATION, ORGANISATION, ORGANISATION. By the time we arrived on Wednesday at 17.30 and finally drove in at 20.00, the camping area was almost full. We were lucky that friends were already there and saved a spot for us. I felt so sorry for the people arriving later and having to find a place in the dark. On Thursday, other friends took six hours to get in.

Toilets - the PSY-FI paper said they had 320 eco toilets - bullshit. I don't think there were more than 100 and they were definitely not eco. They also said they would be cleaned two times per day - I think they meant every two days. It was funny that on Sunday evening, they were finally putting toilets near the chill-out stage. Normally, there is at least a water tap near the toilets so people can wash their hands, not at Psy-fi although it was funny to see a "Please was your hands sign" at the water point near our tent. This water point was the only one I saw in the whole festival.

I heard that the toilet cleaning vehicles couldn't get to the toilets because of people parked and camping on the roads - not enough crew going around to control where people are. Of course there are also inconsiderate idiots who parked their caravans right next to the road and then put their chairs and tables on the road.

The Psy-Fi paper also said NO SOUND SYSTEMS or POWER GENERATORS on the campsites. Wednesday night I didn't sleep because of a bastard who played gabba untill 03.00 and followed it with 200bpm trance until 07.00 on a 2kW system. The next night, the bastard carried on so I had to get ear plugs and take a sleeping pill. On Monday night, after the music finished, the inconsiderate bastard started again at 01.00, not caring that people had to get some sleep because many had long distances to drive home. I had to get up and get dressed and walk around for a long time to find a security person. On my way, I passed two other inconsiderate bastards doing the same thing. As for generators, there was a big bus, right on the main camping road that had a generator running all the time.

I would be interested to know what happened to security, who disappeared on Saturday. Nobody was checking wrist bands or for glass bottles going into the music area. The next day there was security but wearing different uniforms. I also want to know why they had the poor litter pickers working during the dark hours? Wouldn't it be easier if they sent them out early morning when they could see what they were doing?

Regarding sound volume, I didn't mind the low volume but it would have been the proper thing to say it at the beginning. I can continue but I shall not. I'll just say that fro organisation from 0 to 10 points i would give 1. I'm not going next year.

Traumhaft !!!!!! Kritik geht nur an die Dixi Organisation;)

Starting with the good things:
- Awesome lineup (matter of taste, but not only Proggy all the way)
- sensational location
- in parts sensational attention to detail regarding the deco and projections - e.g. the magical forest
- good variety of food available
- good sound system (if volume was up)
- organizers tried their best to improve on different things

Okayish:
- People and "spirit" - see below

Not so good things:
- really, really bad situation regarding the sanitary equipment! Too few dixi toilets and showers, not cleaned often enough...sometimes it was horrible. I can't imagine the situation with really hot weather. It would have been chaos! BUT! People are partly responsible for that themselves. Roads and pathways for emergencies and the dixi toilet service were blocked by tents, cars and campers. Then again, that's partly a problem of the organizers as well! Camping areas were not big enough for that amount of people arriving with cars and campers! Parts of the camping couldn't be reached by car and so people had to carry their stuff all over the festival grounds!
- The security was often unfriendly and even worse: they didn't had a clue about anything! Read the facebook postings...they're true!
- I experencied the festival to be super, super super drugged. Never seen anything like that and never want to see it again
- drinks and food were pricey, e.g. burger & fries = 11€
- information policy of the organizers was not that good. It's completely ok if they have to turn down the volume from 23:00 on, but then it should be noted upfront to the people!
- Trash. People were behaving pretty bad. Again, never seen anything like it at a psytrance festival.
- People threw things at the DJ once the soundsystem on the Alternative stage had some kind of failure on Saturday night - again, never seen anything like it at psytrance festival
- People booing surprise act Chicago like hell when he had to play his set at lower volume - is that the spirit?

All in all I can say that I had the impression, that the festival grew out of control in numbers of people attending. Too many people visiting, not enough space for cars, not enough workers to deal with the situation and the problems.

This festival has a very good base to build on to become something really special. But imo it should be kept smaller in order to really have the spirit that has been talked about in the closing ceremony.

Ok this was really some excellent festival. The location with all it's natural beauty and the lovely decoration, lights and small details everywhere had to be among the best I've seen so far.

The downside is, the camping area was way too crowded. I arrived on friday by train and there was hardly a spot left for a small 2-person tent. Lot's of people were actually camping outside of the festival area.
Also there were not enough toilets and no urinals at all which led to long lines before every toilet and people started pissing everywhere.
Yes music was kinda quiet during night time, which isn't that bad if you actually intend to sleep sometimes.
Somewhere there has to be a trade-off.

Though these are my only complaints.
People were nice and as someone mentioned great atmosphere. Great shopping and food market and super lineup.

Friendly people, super (not too druggy) atmosphere and best line up ever experienced. Deco, due to weather unfinished, but nevertheless quite ok. People disliked low volume during night, this is the only way parties can be held in a small and densely populated country. Insufficient camping area and toilets were the only negative points.

So, Psy-Fi.
The lineup was possibily the best in this moment, while the weird timetable (caused by problems with neighbours and dutch laws), with hard musical stuff hitting around ten-eleven in the evening and silence in the main floor at night (with chill and darkpsy floor staying on) caused a definitely different vibe, with delirium at dinner time and mellownes later, which allows for more meditative psychedelic experiences but is less fit for hard core trancing. Different vibe, so, but not unpleasant. Food stands provided an excellent variety of lunches, kinda expensive but in line with north europe prices. There were some problems with th bathrooms but nothing unseen in other festivals. Location, set up and decoration were probably the best ever seen. The soundsystems instead could be better, but good enough for the daylight/early evening vibe caused by the altered timetable. Nice people abounded. Thumbs up.
