Facebook Events Import [Update]

No time-consuming form filling anymore: You just need the Facebook link and the OK-button to get your event on Goabase.

There is a new field for the facebook link at Party eintragen. With pressing the OK-button we make a request to facebook to get the event behind the link.

That's it, basically. After you confirm as usual the party is online on Goabase.

Facebook Event Import

Some Details:

  • If wanted or useful the type of party (club, open air, festivaletc) can be chosen in advance.
  • We use Facebook Open Graph API which includes permissions to read public events.
  • No facebook login needed.
  • There is a check up if the party is registered here already. In this case a message points it out to you.
  • Facebook makes no difference between line up, deco etc. It is hardly possible to separate these details in an automatic and safe way, unfortunately. Therefore everything is listed at 'line up' here.
  • A manual update feature for updating the party is going to be developed these days.
  • Depending on your acceptance and experience an automatic update can be developed, too.

Feel free to give feedback and suggestions as always!
 

[Update] 28 Dec:
It's possible to update an event now. The button is on "Edit Party". We check if the data is changed and put a fitting label next to the name.
